Series of illustrations for the story by Oliver Sacks ‘The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat’

This is a touching story about a man who has a rare condition that makes him unable to connect what he sees to its context or meaning. However, because he is a musician, he associates things and everyday actions with songs.

When something ‘became a song’ he got into a flow state where he could do everyday tasks, like getting dressed, without difficulty.

It was his particular way of understanding and existing-- through music.
