‘On the Way’

Original Picturebook

‘On the way’ is a picturebook that I wrote and illustrated as my final university project.

It follows Jo, and her routine catching the bus to school, through the seasons of a year. At first, she’s bored and convinced that nothing interesting ever happens on the bus. But then, one day, something catches her attention, and she writes about it on her journal. This creates a new routine for Jo- one of noticing everything around her, and of using her creativity to change her perspective. As the readers, we get to pick into her journal, and see a bit of what Jo notices and laughs about.
