All the Nicest Things

Original Picturebook

‘All the Nicest Things’ explores the idea of appreciating life for the gift that is is, even though things can be tough and not go as planed.

It’s about how there are positive things to notice, despite the hardship. So, like a camera, the book focusses on the hopeful things, not denying the rest of the scene, but celebrating the beauty, the intimacy, the poetry of the ordinary.

It also recognises that the people around us that we care about, are the best in the middle of the hard parts of life. After all, they are the ones who help us notice all the nicest things.

In this excerpt, you can see the materials used as well as the visual language and how analog the book really is. Only the text has been added digitally.
